Lions Fall in State Final

Jace Bowen led off the 6th inning with a triple and scored the only run of the game on a sacrifice fly by Bradford Puryear to lead North Hall to a 1-0 win over Franklin County in the deciding game of the AAA State Baseball Championship Monday afternoon at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.

Franklin County’s Miles Dodd was outstanding on the mound allowing just 3 hits and the one run in going the entire game for the Lions.

Hunter Brooks went 5 and 2/3 and allowed just 5 hits to get the win for the Trojans. Jaret Bales got the save.

North Hall finishes with a state championship and overall record of 33-6.

Franklin County finishes the year at 36-5 and should have the nucleus of the team returning next year with three seniors on the 2021 team.
