Legislative Preview Breakfast Tomorrow
With the Georgia General Assembly gearing up to start next week, local legislators will take time tomorrow to preview the upcoming legislative session.
The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual pre-legislative session “Politics & Pastries” event Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Mitchell Allen Meeting Room in downtown Toccoa.
The event is sponsored by AT&T and will be moderated by the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee.
Everyone is invited to attend.
50th District State Senator John Wilkinson and 28th District State Representative Dan Gasaway will both be in attendance to talk about the 2014 General Assembly Session that starts Monday.
The Chamber said that Gasaway and Wilkinson will both provide updates on the top issues and share their insights to challenges and concerns.
They will also take questions from the audience.
The Chamber said that all community leaders, business owners, Chamber members and citizens are invited to attend.
Coffee and desserts will be served.
