Leadership Toccoa-Stephens County Board of Directors Chairman Steve Paysen introduced guest speaker Chris Goethe who spoke to the 2018 graduating class about leadership.

Goethe also addressed entrepreneurship.

“If you feel a fire growing inside you to do something different, against the edge, I’m here to tell you come on in, the water’s fine.”

Both graduating classes had a representative to come discuss their respective leadership projects.

The youth class presented a program called Showers for Kindness, which would request donations of toiletries to furnish the forthcoming community showers, where at-need families can come take hot showers if they lack the resources to have one at home.

The adult class also wanted to address another aspect of the community showers, by creating Throw in the Towel, a program that would take donations of towels, and washer and dryers to ensure that the people who use the showers are able to dry off with a clean towel and put on clean clothes afterwards.
