Lavonia Police Investigators have identified the suspects they believe are persons of interest in the robbery Tuesday of the Truist Bank on Jones St.

Wednesday afternoon, Police Chief Bruce Carlisle said they believe at least two people were involved.

Carlisle said they have also identified the getaway vehicle and believe there may have been a third accomplice involved.

At this time, investigators are not releasing any more information but hope to make an arrest soon.

Chief Carlisle said the suspects are not from the area and pose no further threat to the community.

According to Lavonia Assistant Police Chief Daniel Carson, on Tuesday afternoon just after 1p, a man entered the Truist Bank on Jones St. And demanded an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect, described as a black male wearing khaki pants, light shirt, baseball cap, and surgical mask left the bank and got into a vehicle in an unknown direction of travel.

As their investigation continues, anyone with information on the suspects or the robbery is asked to contact investigator Shannon Westbrook at 706-356-4848.
