Latest local Covid-19 Numbers from DPH

The Thursday report from the Georgia Department of Public Health has 446 total cases and six deaths due to complications of COVID-19 in Stephens County.

The Department of Public Health is reporting that Habersham County has 43 fatalities due to the virus and 904 positive cases of the virus.

Locally, Stephens County Hospital and its facilities have tested 3,868 individuals for the virus.

Of those, 690 tests have come back positive with 561 patients receiving positive results, 3,103 received negative results, and 75 individuals are still awaiting their results.

Stephens County Hospital Chief Executive Officer Mike Hester says the hospital currently has eight patients hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County has had 315 cases and three deaths, Banks County has a total of 202 cases and three deaths, Rabun County has 139 cases and three deaths, and Hart County has 185 cases.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is reporting a total of 156,588 cases, of those, 16,353 have been hospitalized and 3,360 have died from complications of the virus.
