Latest DPH Numbers Show Four More Deaths in Habersham

The Department of Public Health is reporting that Habersham County now has had 47 fatalities due to complications of COVID-19.

The latest report was released Friday afternoon.

DPH is reporting Habersham has had 921 positive cases of the virus.

The Friday report from the Georgia Department of Public Health has 463 total cases and six deaths due to complications of COVID-19 in Stephens County.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County has had 319 cases and three deaths, Banks County has a total of 200 cases (two less than Thursday) and three deaths, Rabun County has 147 cases and three deaths, and Hart County has 191 cases.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is reporting a total of 161,401 cases, just short of 5000 more since Thursday, of those, 399 more are hospitalized, a total now of 16,752, and 82 more have died from complications of the virus bringing the total count to 3,360.
