Latest Covid Report-One Less Case in Area with One Death

The latest DPH Report for the six county area of Stephens, Habersham, Franklin, Hart, Rabun, and Banks is showing one less positive case of Covid-19, but one death.

This is the third straight day that the number of positive cases in the area totaled less than 10, and the first time there was one less.

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting a total of 71 deaths in Stephens County with 2,870 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Thursday afternoon.

The latest report now has Habersham County reporting an additional death for a total now of 139, and twelve less positive cases recorded for a total now of 4,522 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County still has a total of 37 deaths and now 2,278 positive cases of the virus, Rabun County is still reporting 37 deaths, and 1,439 positive cases of the virus, Hart County is now reporting 1,661 cases and 35 deaths, and Banks County is still reporting 33 deaths and 1,562 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there were 1,313 cases reported since Thursday for a total now of 826,117 positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, of those 115 more were hospitalized bringing that total now to 56,627, and 64 more died bringing the total death count due to complications of the virus to 15,526.
