Latest Covid Report-No Area Deaths-Seven in the State

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 71 COVID-related deaths in Stephens County with 2,882 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Tuesday afternoon and showed an addition of 20 positive cases in the area and no additional deaths for the second straight day.

The latest report still has Habersham County with 139 deaths and now 4,544 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County has had 37 deaths and 2,281 positive cases, Rabun County is now reporting 1,444 cases and 37 deaths, Hart County is reporting 1,665 cases and 35 deaths, and Banks County is still reporting 33 deaths and 1,572 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there were 1,037 positive cases across the state of Georgia since Monday. There have been a total of 830,114 positive cases of the virus across the state of Georgia, of those 135 were hospitalized, a total now of 56,971 have been hospitalized and 7 more died, bringing the total death count in the state due to complications of the virus now to 15,647.
