Latest Covid-Deaths in Habersham-Rabun-Banks

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 48 COVID-related deaths in Stephens County with 2,275 residents testing positive for the virus. Thirty-Five more since Monday’s report.

The latest report was released Tuesday afternoon.

The latest report shows three additional deaths in the area. DPH now has Habersham County with 90 deaths and now 3,692 positive cases of the virus, Rabun County is now reporting 1,093 cases and 18 deaths, and Banks County is now reporting 20 deaths and now 1,188 cases.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County has had 21 deaths and 1,715 positive cases, Hart County is reporting 1,246 cases and 21 deaths, and Banks County is still reporting 19 deaths and now 1,206 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, another 6,000 positive cases have been added in the past 24 hours across the state bringing the total to 597,208, of those, 43,018 have been hospitalized, and 66 more died bringing the total death count due to complications of the virus now totals 9,966.
