Latest Covid-19 Numbers have more Deaths in Hart, Franklin, and Banks

The Georgia Department of Public Health has released the latest Covid-19 numbers heading to the weekend.

The latest report includes additional deaths in Franklin and Banks counties, and two more deaths in Hart County.

Franklin County has had 390 cases and now six deaths, Banks County has a total of 259 cases and now four deaths, and Hart County has 292 cases and now six deaths.

DPH reports Stephens County with a total of 599 positive cases and 12 deaths due to complications of the virus.

Locally, Stephens County Hospital and its facilities have tested 4,218 individuals for the virus.

Of those, 820 tests have come back positive with 643 patients receiving positive results, 3,363 received negative results, and 35 individuals are still awaiting their results.

Stephens County Hospital Chief Executive Officer Mike Hester says the hospital currently has six patients hospitalized with confirmed cases of COVID-19, and five others who are hospitalized pending test results.

In other neighboring counties, the Department of Public Health is reporting that Habersham County has 48 fatalities due to the virus and 1,125 positive cases of the virus, and Rabun County has 212 cases and three deaths.

Across the state of Georgia, the Department of Public Health is reporting a total of 209,004 cases, of those, 20,282 have been hospitalized and 4,117 have died from complications of the virus.
