Latest Covid-19 Numbers from GDPH

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 63 COVID-related deaths in Stephens County, and 13 more positive cases of the virus bringing the total to 2,630 since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Wednesday afternoon.

The latest report has Habersham County with one more death bringing that total to 113 and now 4,284 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Franklin County still has 28 deaths and now 2,074 positive cases, Rabun County is still reporting 31 deaths and now 1,322 cases, Hart County is reporting 1,509 cases and still 27 deaths, and Banks County is still reporting 25 deaths and now 1,421 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, the rate of positive cases went back down around one and a half times after Tuesday’s higher rate. DPH reports a little over 4,000 more cases statewide for a total of 731,826, of those 332 were hospitalized for a total now of 49,247 and the number of deaths has now risen over 12,000 with a total death count in the state now at 12,135.
