Latest Covid-19 Numbers Continue High Rate Across State

The Georgia Department of Public Health is still reporting 52 COVID-related deaths in Stephens County with 2,380 residents testing positive for the virus, since the beginning of the global pandemic.

The latest report was released Monday afternoon.

The latest report still has Habersham County with 97 deaths and now 3,913 positive cases of the virus.

In other neighboring counties, Rabun County is now reporting 23 deaths, two more than Sunday, and now 1,181 cases, Hart County is now reporting 23 deaths, one more than Sunday, and 1,335 cases, Franklin County has had 24 deaths and now 1,848 positive cases, and Banks County is reporting 20 deaths and 1,279 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, more than 6,000 positive cases have been reported across the state bringing that total to 642,712, of those, 44,742 have been hospitalized and the total death count due to complications of the virus has now risen to 10,299.
