Last call: April 2018 Veteran Showcase exhibit ends this weekend

This weekend is the last weekend to see the Currahee Military Museum’s April 2018 Veterans Showcase, in the Loden Exhibit Hall.

The exhibit underscores 13 women, from Stephens County, who have served and are serving in the United States military.

Stephens County Historical Society’s Recording Secretary Lyn Hack told WNEG News that the exhibit features information with photos of these 13 extraordinary women.

The exhibit includes Cadet Nurses, Hospitalmen, Colonels, Sergeant Majors and more, all ranging from 1943 until present day.

Hack encourages everyone to visit the museum and learn more about local veterans here in Stephens County.

The Currahee Military Museum is located in Toccoa at 160 N. Alexander Street, at the train depot, and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.; and again on Sunday from 1 until 4 p.m.
