Lake Davidson Power Back

Toccoa City Manager Billy Morse tells WNEG news the power is back at Lake Davidson. ” I want to reassure the citizens that all of the departments are up and running, specifically the water operation. We have power now at Davidson Lake and are pumping back to Lake Toccoa. A big thank you to Harry Scott and everyone in the water department, and to Habersham EMC for making it a priority.”

Morse says the power was out since late Monday and out until Thursday. If the power outage would have moved into the weekend, it could have been a real issue for the city. ” I think after about 5 days we would have started to get pretty nervous. We never were in jeopardy of that. We are okay because everyone concerned made it a priority, and we are appreciative of that.”

Lake Toccoa is a holding pond-a reservoir to what is pumped everyday out of Davidson. Without natural rain to fill up Lake Toccoa the city uses Lake Davidson.
