Lady Indians Fall to Madison County
It was a tough night for the Stephens County Lady Indians Softball team Wednesday night.
Madison County scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning, added 5 more runs in the 5th inning, and rolled to a 9-0 win over Stephens County in 5 innings at The Reservation.
Madison County was led by Kinley Phillips on the mound and at the plate. Phillips had 3 RBI’s, and pitched a complete game allowing just 4 hits. Kennedy Dixon also had a 3-run home run for the Lady Red Raiders.
Emma Whitfield got the loss for the Indians.
Madison County is now 2-0 in Region-8 play and 8-2 overall. Stephens County falls to 1-1 in the Region and 4-2 overall.
Stephens County will return to action Thursday night when they host Oconee County in another Region-8 matchup.
