Lady Indians fall to Lady Lions, 6-1

The Franklin County Lady Lions defeated the Stephens County Lady Indians, 6-1, Monday night, at the high school softball complex.

Junior Kaleigh Fowler blanked the Lady Indians for five innings before Kayley Sellers drove in Jasmine Lowrey with the lone score in the sixth.

Fowler picked up the win for Franklin County; while, Ally Huff took the loss for the Lady Indians.

Jayden Gailey had two doubles and drove in three runs for the Lady Lions.

Kaylyn Jinks and Fowler drove in the other runs.

Stephens County evens up it’s record to 4-4, 1-2 in Region play. Franklin County’s record is now 8-2 and 2-2 in Region 8-AAAA.

The Lady Indians will have today, Aug. 28, off, then they will travel to Habersham Central, on Wednesday, to play a double-header. One of those games is a make-up of an earlier rainout.

The next region game is Thursday afternoon at St. Pius in Atlanta.
