LaBoon takes home first at Talent Show

It was a packed house Saturday evening at the Historic Ritz.

On Saturday the Swift Multipurpose Center presented its annual Talent Show, held at the Historic Ritz Theatre in the Schafer Center.

The night’s host was comedian and radio personality Lovely Big O who had the audience roaring in laughter.

The performances consisted of spiritual dances, singing, and even an impersonation.

This year’s winners are as follows:

Coming in third was Harold Smith; Claiming second was Zikerion Reese; and for first place was Stephens County native, Kaniyah LaBoon.

LaBoon, who performed a spiritual dance, spoke with WNEG News after being named the winner, encouraging anyone who has a talent that they are hiding from the world to share it with everyone.

“If you have a talent embrace it, don’t be nervous or scared about it,” she said.

The Talent Show raised funds for several local organizations, including the Swift Multipurpose Center and the Toccoa-Stephens County Boys and Girls Club.
