Kenneth Dearl Milner, Jr.

Kenneth Dearl Milner, Jr., age 72, of Toccoa, Georgia passed away on January 23, 2022.

Mr. Milner was born in Haywood County, NC on October 10, 1949.  He was the son of Kenneth Dearl Milner, Sr. and Frances Dyer Milner.  He was a veteran of the Marine Corps.  He studied the Bible and biblical prophesy.  He loved to read about American history and the history of the old west.  He loved the outdoors and the beauty of the desert when he traveled.  He expressed himself through his writings and poetry.  He loved his family, friends, and his dog.

He attended The Pointe Church of God until health issues kept him at home, where he watched services online when he could.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his late wife, Sally Pickens Milner.  He leaves behind his wife, Shirley and step-daughter Tamara Simmons of the home; a son Christopher Milner of Oklahoma; a brother Bob Milner (Cheryl) of Tennessee, a niece Lori Clontz (Daniel) and great niece Laurel of Black Mountain, NC.

Per his wishes no formal service will be held.  The family will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home in Toccoa on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
