Jonathan Alan Parris

Jonathan Alan Parris passed away on Father’s Day, June 21, 2020, and he went to be with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8) at the age of 30.

He was born on December 11, 1989 in Gainesville, Georgia to David Sr. and Donna Parris of Martin, Georgia. He was a loving, dedicated, loyal and selfless son, brother, husband and father as well as a faithful friend to many. He attended Oakwood Baptist Church and worked for Perfect Temp Systems in Oakwood.

Surviving is his wife, Erin Parris; daughter, Katherine Parris; son, Caleb Parris. He is also survived by his four brothers and seven sisters David (Bethany) Parris Jr. of Belleville, MI, Samuel Parris of Auburn, Timothy Parris of Auburn, Joshua Parris of Martin, Elisabeth (Tim) Lay of Benton, TN, Sarah (Aaron) Graves of Murfreesboro, TN, Hannah (Philip) Wilhite of Davenport, IA, Ruth Parris of Martin, Faith Parris of Martin, Rebekah Parris of Martin and Tabitha Parris of Martin. Also surviving are his paternal grandmother, Nell Childers Parris Ellis of Toccoa and maternal grandmother, Judy Thornton Satterfield of Gillsville, as well as several nephews, a niece, numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. He is preceded in death by grandfathers, Franklin Parris, Joseph Ellis and Donald Satterfield.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Gainesville with Rev. Steven Smallwood officiating.

Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens in Toccoa and officiated by Rev. Brian Evans.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 26, 2020 beginning at 6 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Gainesville.

Pallbearers will be Tim Lay, David Parris Jr., Aaron Graves, Philip Wilhite, Samuel Parris, Timothy Parris, and Joshua Parr.
