Individual school Teacher and Support Person of the Year Winners

The Stephens County School System, earlier this week, announced the Teacher of the Year and the Support Person of the Year at each of its six schools and at the central office. This year’s honorees were selected by their coworkers. 

The Central Office Support Person of the Year is Susan Lambert.

At Big A Elementary School, Jacki Bush was named Teacher of the Year, and Linda Jackson was named Support Person of the Year.

At Liberty Elementary School, Kaitlan Prince was named Teacher of the Year, and Cathy Thornton was named Support Person of the Year.

At Toccoa Elementary School, Joanne Taylor was named Teacher of the Year, and  Nicci Batson was named Support Person of the Year.

At the Stephens County 5th Grade Academy, Melody Housley was named Teacher of the Year, and  Amanda McCurry was named Support Person of the Year.

At the Stephens County Middle School, Chad Sorrells was named Teacher of the Year, and  Kim LeCroy was named Support Person of the Year.

And at Stephens County High School, Brad Whitfield was named Teacher of the Year, and  Pam Burton was named Support Person of the Year.

This Friday night before Stephens County High School’s home football game against Monroe Area, the school system will recognize this year’s honorees and will announce the district-wide 2023-24 Teacher of the Year and Support Person of the Year.
