Indians travel to Danielsville tonight in high school football

The Stephens County Indians will travel down to Danielsville tonight to take on the Madison County Red Raiders in high school football.

Kickoff will be at 7:30.

This is an important region game–a win by either team will put them closer to a spot in the playoffs.

The Indians enter the game with an overall record of 1 & 7 and a region mark of 0 & 2 after last week’s loss to the North Oconee Titans, 42 to 10.

Meanwhile, Madison County is 3 & 5 on the season and also 0 & 2 in the region after losing to St. Pius last Friday, 14 to 7.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio show, Stephens County’s offensive line coach, Jerry Underwood, said the Indians offense will face an experienced Madison County defense.

Coverage on 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG starts at 6:30 p.m. with the Indian Road Show. Coach’s Corner starts at 7 p.m. and pre-game coverage from the stadium starts at 7:15 p.m.

In the other Region 8-AAAA game tonight, Oconee County will play at North Oconee.

Looking elsewhere around the area this evening, Franklin County host Hart County, Habersham Central host Winder-Barrow, Banks County host Monticello, Rabun County will travel to Oglethorpe County, Commerce will go to Riverside Military, and White County will be on the road to Chestatee.
