Indians to finish out regular season on the road

In high school football action, the Stephens County Indians will try to complete an undefeated regular season tonight as they travel to Dacula to play the Hebron Christian Lions. 

Kickoff will be at 7:30.  The Indians come into the game with an overall record of 9 & 0 and a region mark of 4 & 0. Hebron Christian has a record of 5 & 4 overall and 2 & 2 in Region 8-AAA. 

Last week, Stephens County came from behind to defeat Oconee County at home, 17 to 14. 

As a result of last week’s win, the Indians have already secured their second consecutive region championship.

Hebron Christian shut out Hart County last Friday, 27 to 0. Last year, Hebron Christian defeated the Indians, 25 to 21.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio show, Stephens County Head J-V Coach and wide receivers coach, Greg McCall, said the Indians will face a very good defense tonight that is both big and fast.

Coverage on 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG starts at 6:30 tonight with the Indian Road Show, followed by Coach’s Corner at 7 and pre-game at 7:15.\

In the other Region 8-AAA games Franklin County fell to Oconee County last night, 42-7, and Hart County will travel to Monroe Area tonight.

Looking elsewhere around the area this evening, Habersham Central will be on the road at Shiloh, Madison County will host East Hall, Banks County will play at Providence Christian, East Jackson will travel to Athens Academy, White County will host Gilmer County. Rabun County, Elbert County, and Commerce will have the night off.
