Indians Tennis Teams Sweep Hart
The Stephens County High School tennis teams hosted region rival Hart County on Monday and both teams came away with 4-1 victories.
The Lady Indians swept all 3 singles matches and also won #1 doubles. Fayeth Ivester had a three-set come-from behind win at #1 singles. Nyleigh Hutto won at #2 singles with a pair of tie-break sets. Maddie McGee also had a 3 set comeback win at #3 singles. And Tenley Boyd & Abby Whitfield won their #1 doubles contest. The Lady Indians are 2-1 in the region and 4-2 overall.
The Indians won two singles matches and swept both doubles events. Walker Terrell won at #2 singles; Jaron Jones won a 3-set match at #3 singles; Levi Spencer & Joc Brown won at #1 doubles; and Gavin Wilkinson & Clayton Jones won at #2 doubles. The Indians are 3-0 in the region and 5-1 overall.
Next match is today at home vs. Oconee County at 4 P.M. Matches are played at the Stephens County Tennis Complex.
