Indians Tennis Split with Hebron Christian
On Tuesday afternoon, the Stephens County High School tennis teams hosted region 8-AAA newcomer Hebron Christian Academy. The Indians won by a match score of 3-2. Winning matches for the Indians were Gavin Wilkinson & Clayton Jones at #2 doubles; Dawson Childs at #2 singles; and. Rusty Spencer clinched the region contest at #3 singles. With this win, the Indians are 2-0 in the region and 4-1 overall.
The Lady Indians lost a tight match 3-2. Tenley Boyd won her #3 singles match and Maddie McGee & Laura Sanders won at #2 doubles. The Lady Indians are 1-1 in the region and 3-2 overall.
Next match for the tennis teams is Thursday March 2 at home vs. Monroe Area. Matches begin at 4:00 and are played at the Stephens County Tennis Complex.
