Indians take on Franklin Lions tonight

The Stephens County Indians will host the Franklin County Lions tonight in high school football action.

Last Friday, the Indians defeated Monroe Area at home, 38 to 7, to keep their record perfect at 6 & 0 overall and 1 & 0 in Region 8-AAA play.

Franklin County lost at home against Hart County last Friday, 40 to 14. The Lions are 1 & 5 overall this season and 0 & 1 in region play. 

Kickoff tonight at The Reservation will be at 7:30 p.m.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio program, Stephens County’s defensive line coach Brad Whitfield said the Indians’ defense will face an experienced Franklin County offensive line.

93.1 FM & AM-630 WNEG will begin our coverage tonight with the Indian Tailgate Show live from The Reservation at 5:30 p.m., followed by Coach’s Corner at 7, and pre-game at 7:15.

In other Region 8-AAA games tonight: Hart County will host Oconee County, and Hebron Christian will travel to Monroe Area. Looking elsewhere around the area this evening, Madison County will host North Hall, East Hall will host Walnut Grove, Banks County will be on the

road at Union County, East Jackson will play at Fellowship Christian, White County will travel to Wesleyan, Rabun County will host St. Francis, and Commerce will host Social Circle.

Habersham Central has the night off.

In Junior Varsity action, Stephens County defeated Rabun County on the road last night, 21 to 10. The Indians J-V will be back in action Thursday when they travel to Elbert County.
