Indians Struggle in Holiday Tournament

The Stephens County Indians Boys Basketball team is participating in a Christmas tournament at Daniel High School in Clemson, South Carolina.

The Indians dropped their second tournament game yesterday falling to T.L. Hanna High School of Anderson, South Carolina.

The Indians will battle for 7th place in the tournament today when they face Fox Creek High School out of North Augusta, S.C. at 2 P.M.

The Indians are now 7-3 on the season and have lost 3 of their last 4 games.

Other games in the tournament today include Daniel vs. T.L. Hanna at 3:30 P.M., Liberty vs. Spring Valley for 3rd place at 5 P.M., and the Championship game at 6:30 P.M. featuring two Greenville area schools- Hillcrest and Wade Hampton.

Stephens County is the only school participating from outside the state of South Carolina.

The Indians Boys and Girls will also participate in a post Christmas tournament next week at West Oak High School in Westminster, South Carolina with the boys scheduled to meet Easley High School next Wednesday at 11:30 A.M.

WNEG will not broadcast the tournaments, but will report the results. The next broadcast of Indians Basketball on WNEG will be January 2nd when the Indians travel to Rabun County.
