Indians Shutout Jaguars

Carson Worley pitched a complete game shutout and helped his cause at the plate going 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s to lead the Stephens County Indians to a 5-inning 13-0 win over Cedar Shoals Monday night in Athens.

Worley allowed only 2 base runners, and one infield hit, while striking out 10.

The Indians scored 13 runs on 13 hits led by Cole Snyder with 3 hits and 3 runs scored.

Joining Worthy with RBI’s was Snyder, Ayden Garmon, Isaiah Martin, Josh Henshaw, Hank Arrowood, and Ian Rumsey.

Joining Snyder with runs scored included Eli Wenger, Ridge Adams, and Rob Fulbright with 2 each, and Arrowood, Henshaw, Worley, and Seth Jamieson each scored.

The Indians improve to 6-5 on the season. The Jaguars fall to 0-8 and have now been outscored 138-17 this season.

Stephens County will be back on the road Tuesday night when they travel to Jefferson to face the Dragons. Airtime is set for 5:45 P.M. with first pitch at 5:55 P.M. on WNEG.
