Indians on the road, to take on Flower Branch tonight

The Stephens County Indians will be back in action in high school football tonight as they play on the road at the Flowery Branch Falcons.  

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30.  

The Indians defeated Rabun County, 35 to 0, last Friday at home.  The Indians’ record is now 2 & 0. 

This week the Indians will face another 2 & 0 team in Flowery Branch.  Last Friday night the Falcons won over St. Pius, 31 to 13.  Last year, the Indians won at home against the Falcons, 27 to 11.      

Last night on the Crunch Time radio program, Indians defensive backs coach Rocky Fulbright said the Indians defense will have to find a way to slow down the Flowery Branch running backs:

93.1 FM & AM-630 WNEG will begin our coverage tonight with the Indian Road Show at 6:30 p.m., followed by Coach’s Corner at 7, and pre-game at 7:15.

In other games tonight:  Franklin County will host Lumpkin County, Hart County will play at Apalachee, Commerce will travel to Hebron Christian, Rabun County will go to Adairsville, White County will be on the road at Chestatee, East Jackson will host West Hall, North Hall will play at Dawson County, East Hall goes to Johnson of Gainesville, and Elbert County will be on the road at Harlem.   Habersham Central, Banks County, and Madison County have the night off.  

In Junior Varsity action last night, Stephens County won a close game over Franklin County in Carnesville, 7 to 6.

The Stephens County Middle School Rebels also won last night—they defeated Elbert County in Elberton, 22 to 0.
