Indians on the road to face the Warriors in final non-region game

The Stephens County Indians will be on the road in action in high school football tonight as they travel up to Cleveland to play the White County Warriors. 

Last week Stephens County won at home against the Dawson County Tigers, 35 to 0. The Indians are undefeated after 4 games.

Tonight’s game will be their final non-region game before they begin their Region 8-AAA slate in 2 weeks. 

The White County Warriors are 2 & 1 and had last week off after defeating Chestatee, 52 to 7, on September 1st. 

Last year, the Indians defeated the Warriors at home, 53 to 14. 

Kickoff tonight will be at 7:30.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio program, Indians Tight Ends Coach Gordon Thigpen said the Indians cannot make turnovers against White County’s high powered offense:

93.1 FM & AM-630 WNEG will begin our coverage tonight with the Indian Road Show at 6:30 p.m., followed by Coach’s Corner at 7, and pre-game at 7:15.

In other games tonight:  Franklin County will host East Jackson, Hart County will travel to Lumpkin County, Habersham Central will host Forsyth Central, Madison County will host North Oconee, Banks County will host George Walton Academy, Rabun County will host Heard County, Commerce will travel to Lincoln County, and East Hall will play at North Hall.

In Junior Varsity action last night, Stephens County lost at home to Habersham Central, 33 to 0.

The JV Indians will be on the road next Thursday at Union County with kickoff at 5:30.
