Indians face Cedar Shoals at home, tonight

Stephens County will host the Cedar Shoals Jaguars for Homecoming tonight at the Reservation in high school football.  Kickoff will be at 7:30.  The Indians enter the game with a 3 & 2 record after last week’s come from behind win over Habersham Central, 41 to 28.  Meanwhile, Cedar Shoals is 3 & 1 on the season after a shut-out win over Oconee County last week, 14 to 0.  This the first time the Indians have played Cedar Shoals in varsity football since 1995.

Last night on the Crunch Time radio show, Indians defensive coordinator, Laquentin Taylor, said that tonight will be another tough, physical game for the Indians.

Coverage on the 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG starts at 5:30 p.m. with the Indian Tailgate Show. Coach’s Corner starts at 7 p.m. and pre-game coverage from the stadium starts at 7:15 p.m.

Looking elsewhere around the area this evening, Hart County plays at Jackson County, Banks County will host Oglethorpe County, Rabun County will host Monticello, White County will host Marist.

In other Region 8-AAAA action tonight, Madison County will host Commerce; Oconee County visits Winder-Barrow, and North Oconee travels to Walnut Grove.

Franklin County and Habersham Central have the night off.
