Indians Baseball Routs Rabun

The Stephens County Indians baseball team defeated Rabun County 15-5 in six innings on Tuesday at the Reservation.

The Indians got things started in the bottom of the first when Garrett Pless singled plating two runs. After Rabun County grabbed the lead, the Indians battled back to tie the score at 4 and took the lead for good on RBI’s from Cruz Mullinix, and Ian Rumsey.

Patrick Murray earned the victory on the mound for the Indians going four innings, allowing four runs on six hits, and striking out three with no walks.

Nick Randall and Rumsey entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Mullinix went 3-for-4 to lead the Indians offense.

Stephens County improves to 3-2 on the season. Rabun County falls to 1-1.

The Indians will be back on the road Thursday when they travel to Cedar Shoals in a make-up game from Monday. The Indians defeated the Jaguars 10-0 in the season opener.
