Indians athletes face a busy week in tennis, soccer, basketball and baseball

Today is a busy day for high school athletes; the Stephens County High School boys tennis team will take on Franklin County at home p.m., while the Girls Soccer team faces Banks County, also at home, at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Boys Soccer team, who will face Banks County here at home at 7:30 p.m.  

The Stephens County Indians will bring the baseball action back home tonight as they host Rabun County,  with first pitch scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and airtime at 5:20 on WNEG radio and wnegradio.com, with WNEG’s own Ted Taylor announcing. The Indians will be back on the road tomorrow night, traveling to Chestatee to take on the  War Eagles at 6 p.m., then returning home on Thursday to take on Banks County, with first pitch at 5:30 p.m. and airtime on WNEG Radio and wnegradio.com at 5:20 p.m., with Taylor again taking the mic.

The Indians will finish up the week with a Saturday double header on the road in Habersham, facing West Hall at 2 p.m., with airtime at 1:45 p.m., and then turning around to battle host team Habersham at 5 p.m., with airtime on WNEG Radio at 4:45 p.m. and WNEG’s Phil Hobbs announcing both games.

Wednesday evening’s baseball game against Chestatee will not be broadcast on WNEG Radio due to the airing of the first round of the state basketball tournament, with the Stephens County Indians on the road at Sandy Creek. Game time will be 6 p.m., with airtime on WNEG radio and wnegradio.com at 5:45 p.m.
