Indians Advance More in Track-Randall Advances to State in Golf

The Stephens County Boys Track team had more athletes qualify for Sectionals with top 4 finishes at the Region-8 AAA meet on Wednesday at East Jackson High School.

Cam Lacy, the Region Long Jump Champion, finished a tight race as region runner-up in the 100 Meter.

The 4 x 100 Relay team of Lacy, Jasec Smith, Javin Gordon, and Corey Richie also advanced finishing as the region runner-up.

Braden Griffin had a 3rd place finish, and Smith a 4th place finish to advance in the 200 Meter Dash, and Bobby Fessler followed up his 4th place finish in the 1600 with a 4th place finish in the 3200 to advance.

As reported earlier, Richie advanced in the Triple Jump on Monday with a 3rd place finish in the region, and Aidan Butts advanced on Monday finishing as the region runner-up in the Shot Put.

The Sectional Meet is scheduled for May 7th.

 

Also, congratulations to Katie Grace Randall of the Lady Indians Golf Team. Randall qualified for the Girls AAA State Golf Tournament that will be held May 16th and 17th.
