Hospital Authority approves FY18 budget

The Stephens County Hospital Authority approved the Fiscal Year 2018 budget during last week’s meeting.

For FY18 the authority projects a net revenue of $44,186,432 after $72,710,802 in revenue deductions.

Outpatient services provide the highest revenue totaling $43,977,721; with emergency services falling slightly behind at $34,107,498.

Medicare Contractual is the highest deduction in revenue, carrying an expenditure of $36,459,758.

Listed on the budget are other revenue providers, totaling in at $1,518,252 with the bulk coming in from the ambulance contributions set at $689,517.

Total cost for expenses come to $44,081,001, with salaries and wages being the largest expense totaling $18,557,912.

The second largest expense is purchased services totaling $7,168,826.

After the deductions and expenses, the total net gain for the hospital is $521,244.
