Hope Center receives $4,500 donation from American Woodmark

A local business has presented a check to a local community organization this week in Stephens County.

On Thursday, American Woodmark’s Elese Rose presented a $4,500 check to the Hope Center.

Rose says American Woodmark felt the Hope Center was a deserving organization.

Stephens County Chamber of Commerce President Julie Paysen accepted the check on behalf of the Hope Center.

Paysen says the funds will be put towards renovating the dining hall.

Rose says that American Woodmark makes a conscious effort in giving back to the community.

Located in the old Whitman St. High School, the mission of the Hope Center is to provide food, clothing, daily nourishing meals, as well as other daily necessities to the poor and homeless, such as showers and laundry facilities.

The Hope Center is a non-profit, faith-based community service.
