Health Dept. Recognizes Local Program
A local program is recognized for its efforts to improve the health of area residents.
The Evan Oglesby Foundation of Stephens County was recently named as one of the 21 honorees of the “Celebrate Healthy North Georgia” initiative.
The program is run by District 2 Public Health and recognizes those who have implemented programs to raise awareness and improve the health of area residents.
Other area nominees include the Royston Housing Community Garden and Emmanuel College in Franklin County, as well as the Farm to School Pilot Program at Hilliard A. Wilbanks Middle School in Habersham County.
The honorees were recognized earlier this month.
