Hazel Marianna Howard Jackson

Hazel Marianna Howard Jackson, age 86 of Gainesville, Ga passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at her home surrounded by her children.

Hazel was born July 16, 1934, Ayersville, Ga to the late George and Pearl Howard.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years Melvin Jackson, parents, and daughter Melinda G. Jackson. Brothers and sisters-in-law Verner (Sara) Howard, Fred (Mary Frances) Howard, Roy (Ruby) Howard, Coy (Geneva) Howard, Lee (Mozelle) Howard, sister and brothers-in-law Floy (Bryan) Kidd, Dorothy (Nelson) Kidd, Grandson-in-law David Hoffer. She resided in Gainesville since 1962. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister and friend. She was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church.

Family Members include daughters Melvenia Wilson of Gainesville, Holly Smith of Gainesville, son Ken (Paddie) Jackson of Eastanollee.  Grandchildren Miranda (Michael) Parris of Cleveland, Tiffany (Chad) Wehunt of Gainesville, Karen Hoffer of Gainesville, Matthew Jackson of Albany, Dustin (Jessica) Smith of Dawsonville, 10 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. One of her last request was for her daughter to tell all of her kids, grandchildren, family and friends that she loved them all.

Visitation will be Monday, June 20, 2021 from 6-8 pm at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel.

Service will be held on Tuesday June 22, 2021 at 3:30 pm, New Bridge Baptist Church, with Milton Harris and Kenneth Jackson officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Dustin Smith, Matthew Jackson, Chad Wehunt, Michael Parris, William Howard and Tony Howard and honorary pallbearer Kason Dehne.

Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to New Bridge Baptist Church Meditation Garden 3120 Cleveland Highway Gainesville, Ga and/or Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center 2150 Limestone Pkwy. Suite 222 Gainesville, Ga 30501.

The family wishes to thank the Hospice of NGMC for their loving care of their mother.
