Habitat for Humanity’s Women Builders collecting donations for local Habitat build

A group of Habitat for Humanity Women Builders recently held a successful fundraiser in Toccoa-Stephens County.

The group gathered outside Wal-Mart in the rain, to raise money for the Habitat for Humanity home being built here in Toccoa.

Habitat Volunteer Kathy Whitmire says she’s thankful for all who brought donations.

She says despite the rain, they were able to raise $3,300.

If you missed out on the fundraiser, the group is still collecting donations.

The group is asking you to make a $70 donation to sponsor one square foot the habitat house; however, if you are unable to donate the full $70 all donations are appreciation.

You can mail checks to P.O. Box 1771, Toccoa.

Whitmire says, “this is an awesome project to support with more than 70 Women Builders involved in making this dream come true for this deserving mom and her children. Your donations will help us complete our goal.”
