Habersham Sweeps Rebels Basketball Teams

It was a tough Thursday evening for the Stephens County Middle School basketball teams as Habersham took victories in all 4 games.

The Stephens County Middle School Rebels 8th grade boys basketball team were defeated by Habersham 41-30.

The Rebels had two players scoring in double figures-Jet Black had 11 points and Javin Gordon 10.

The Rebels also got 3 points each from Andrew Keown, Brock Tankersley, and Semaji Walker.

The SCMS 8th grade boys are now 1-1 on the season.

The 8th grade Lady Rebels also fell to Habersham 25-19. Carson Stowe scored 12 points to lead the Lady Rebels, Hallee Shirley added 3, and both Blair Huddleston and Zionnah Kelly had 2 points.

The 8th grade Lady Rebels are now 0-3.

The 7th grade boys basketball team fell to Habersham 51-27. Davon Swinton led the Rebels with 9 points, Kykemion Durham had 8, Christian Hewitt and Noah Strickland scored 3 points each, CJ Harbin had 2, and Kymani Colbert and Ashton Winters each scored a point.

The 7th grade Rebel boys are now 0-2.

The 7th grade Lady Rebels played the closest game of the evening with a close 27-26 loss to Habersham.

The 7th grade Lady Rebels are now 0-3.

The Rebels teams will return to the hardwood on Monday when they face Rabun County.
