Habersham Coroner identifies body found at Lake Russell Beach

Habersham County Coroner Kasey McEntire has identified the man as 21-year-old Nicholas Patterson of Cornelia. Although foul play is not suspected, other details are pending further investigation.

WNEG News previously reported that personnel from the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office and Habersham County Emergency Services responded on Wednesday to a report of an individual who had been found deceased in a picnic area near Lake Russell Beach. Yesterday,  Habersham County Coroner Kasey McEntire identified the man as 21-year-old Nicholas Patterson of Cornelia. Although foul play is not suspected, other details are pending further investigation, McEntire said.

The Great Smoky Mountains Park is offering free distance learning programs for K-12 classrooms and home-schooled students nationwide through February, allowing educators to bring their students on a virtual field trip to the national park.
