Grand Jury Indictments on Dixon and Holbrooks

The Stephens County Grand Jury has issued indictments.

Brodrique Simone Dixon has been indicted on counts of Malice Murder and Felony Murder for the death of Christopher Deshun Tukes on August 29th near Whitman Park in Toccoa. Dixon has also been indicted on two counts of Aggravated Assault on Tukes, and Scottae Lashawn Martin, and two counts of a possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The shooting occurred near the Whitman Park, off of Broad Street, around 6:30 p.m. on August 29th.

According to Toccoa Police Chief Jimmy Mize, Stephens County 911 began receiving multiple calls reporting a shooting on Whitman Street in Toccoa.

When Toccoa Police Officers responded to the scene, they found two male victims injured from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police were able to perform CPR on one victim, Tukes, of Lavonia, who later succumbed to his injuries at Stephens County Hospital.

The second victim, Martin, of Toccoa, was transported by EMS to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Martin was treated for his injuries and later released from the hospital.

 

  

The Grand Jury also indicted William L. Holbrooks on one count of Rape, two counts of Aggravated Sodomy, one count of Aggravated Child Molestation, and one count of Child Molestation.
