Grand Jury hands down indictments

The Grand Jury handed down indictments last week in Stephens County Superior Court.

Alijah Timothy Banks was indicted for hit and run, two counts of serious injury by vehicle, driving under the influence, driving with an expired license, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane.

The charges stem from an accident that occurred on August 12, 2020, on Red Rock Road and Cedar Ridge Drive.

According to the indictment, Banks was driving a 1999 Volkswagen Beetle when he caused serious injury to Nicole Lynn Mote and Brandon Boyd Parshall and failed to stop his vehicle at the scene of the accident.

Wade Monroe Wagner was also indicted last week, for enticing a child for indecent purposes, solicitation of sodomy of a child under the age of 18, computer pornography, pandering for person under the age of 18, and electronically furnishing obscene material to minors.

The indictment states that Wagner’s offenses stem from an incident that occurred between June 27, 2021, and July 1, 2021, after he attempted to solicit and entice a child under the age of 16.

Godfrey James Williams was also indicted last week, for one count of incest.

According to the indictment, Williams unlawfully engaged in sodomy with someone related to him between the dates of July 1, 2019, and March 16, 2021.

Arliss Lee Peppers was also indicted for one count of sexual exploitation of children.

According to the indictment, Peppers knowingly attempted to entice or coerce a minor to engage in producing sexually explicit photographs on January 23, 2022.

The grand jury also indicted Nicholas Levor Harrison, Elizabeth Erin Hibbs, and Tesla Hope Weeks for arson in the second degree, reckless conduct, two counts of giving false information to law enforcement officers, and obstruction of an officer.

According to the indictment, all three did knowingly damage, by the means of fire, a 2018 Dodge Journey, without the owner’s consent, on December 30, 2021.
