GBI investigating death of an inmate at Habersham County Detention Center
An inmate at the Habersham County Detention Center died early Thursday.
The older male inmate, whose name is not being released yet, was found dead in his cell about 3:15am.
The inmate had numerous health issues.
As is standard in cases of in-custody deaths, the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office has requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in the case.
