GA Dept. of Labor to host recruitment for ResCare HomeCare

The Georgia Department of Labor’s Habersham Career Center is holding a recruitment for ResCare HomeCare later this month.

ResCare HomeCare is a nursing and residential care company and during the recruitment, they will be looking for 20 direct care employees. 10 will be working in Rabun County and 10 in Fannin County.

Recruitment will be Thursday, June 22 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 in Clayton inside the Rabun County Employment Center.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED as well as a valid driver’s license. No previous experience is needed because the company will be training employees. Part-time and full-time positions are available.

Communications Director for the GDOL Sam Hall advises applicants that are interested in a position with ResCare HomeCare to do research prior to recruitment day.

“One of the first things I would recommend to someone who is interested in one of these jobs is to go online and do some research about ResCare HomeCare so they will know something about the employer and the types of work it does,” said Hall. “That will help the applicants when interviewing with the employer because one of the things that most impresses a potential employer is when the applicant knows something about the company.”

Hall also said to have a resume prepared and on the day of, he shares a few tips on how to impress the employer.

“When you get to the recruiting event, be prepared to tell the employer why you would be a good employee for that company,” said Hall. “If you have an appointment, be sure to be on time and applicants who are interested in attending the event should bring their resume, driver’s license and be sure to dress appropriately.”
