Full-Scale Exercise for Stephens County Emergency Services will take place at SCMS

Stephens County 911 and EMA Director Danielle Rhodes has announced that this morning there will be a full-scale exercise beginning around 10 a.m.

The training event is for all public safety and law enforcement agencies throughout the county with some state and federal agencies assisting.

Rhodes says today’s exercise will be held at the Stephens County Middle School.

“We have a full-scale exercise planned, and that’s going to involve all Stephens County Emergency Services,” she said. “We do that occasionally, because we are required by the state to have those, but also we are doing this for a couple of us to work on professional certifications.”

She says that during the exercise, dispatch will begin every call involving the training with “this is an exercise.”

Rhodes says these full-scale exercises provide valuable training for all parties involved.

Again, today’s training will begin around 10 a.m. at the Stephens County Middle School.
