Friday morning vehicle fire being investigated

A vehicle fire is currently being investigated by the Georgia State Fire Marshall’s Office.

On Friday, September 28, the Toccoa Fire Department were dispatched at 7:04 a.m. to a residence on Estatohe Circle in reference to a vehicle fire.

According to Toccoa’s Assistant Fire Chief Frankie Dietz heavy smoke and flames were showing from the vehicle upon arrival of fire units.

Shiloh and Carnes Creek fire departments were dispatched due to the proximity of the vehicle from the residence.

Dietz says the two departments were able to contain the flames and eventually extinguished the fire, without incident.

WNEG News will provide coverage as the investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
