Friday Indians home opener kickoff changed to 8 p.m.

Stephens County High School Athletic Director Chuck King has announced that Friday’s kickoff for the varsity home football game between the Indians and the Rabun County Wildcats has been moved to 8 p.m.

The game was originally scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

In his announcement, Coach King says that the later start time is a proactive decision based on the predicted extreme heat. He added that he still wants everyone to come and enjoy the game.

This will be the Indians home opener.  Both Stephens County and Rabun County enter the game with 1 & 0 records after winning games last Friday.

WNEG Sports coverage of the game will begin with our tailgate show at 5:30 p.m.
