Franklin Community Players award scholarships to Jacobs and Little

Franklin Community Players President Valicia Miller announced recently that Chance Jacobs of Lavonia and Hailey Little of Carnesville are the winners of the FCP 2018 $500 college scholarships.

Both recipients are seniors at Franklin County High School.

Jacobs has been named Honor Thespian, National Honors Thespian and International Thespian.

His acting career began at age 7, and he has been active in community theatre for the Franklin Community Players, Savannah River Productions and Land of Spirit.

At only ten-years-old, he began performing in many Franklin County High School and Franklin County Middle School productions and competitions.

Jacobs won Best Supporting Actor in the Region in 2016 and in 2017 and was named to the Emmanuel College Dean’s List while taking both college and high school classes during his final year of high school.

Jacobs has been accepted to the Bachelor of Fine Arts-Performance Degree program at Columbus State University.

Little has been very active with Franklin Community Players’ Youth Summer Theatre Program, the Franklin County High School Drama Department and FCHS Spotlight Players.

Her awards include “Best Actress in a Musical”, twice winner of “Best Supporting Actress” in regional competitions and “Best Actress in State” in the one-act play competition as well as Franklin County’s Miss Echo and being named a National Thespian.

Little has been accepted to both Piedmont College and University of North Georgia.

She intends to pursue a degree in musical theatre.
