Filming requires street closures this week

As previously reported, ReelWorks Studios, a movie production team, has started filming here in Stephens County.

Starting this week, the team will begin filming scenes, in downtown Toccoa, that will require street closures and traffic control through the end of July.

Beginning today, at noon, West Doyle Street will be closed between North Sage Street and North Pond Street.

This portion of road will reopen after 8 p.m. tonight.

Tomorrow, from 12 noon until 8 p.m., North Sage Street will be closed from West Tugalo Street to West Foreacre Street; also West Doyle Street will be closed at North Sage Street.

Due to work trucks, background picture cars and other work equipment there will be no street parking allowed on the corner of Doyle at North Sage Street.

On Wednesday, July 25, from 12a.m. until 9 p.m., North Alexander Street will be closed between Tugalo Street and Foreacre; West. Doyle Street will also be closed at North Alexander and North Pond streets.

Then, on Friday, July 27, North Alexander will be closed between West Doyle and Foreacre Street; West Doyle will be closed between North Alexander and North Sage Street; and Foreacre will be closed at North Alexander street, beginning at 12 p.m. and will reopen at 3 a.m.

Lasty, on Monday, July 30, and Tuesday, July 31, West Doyle Street will be closed between North Alexander Street and North Sage Street from 12a.m., Monday until 12 a.m., Tuesday.

Despite the road closures in downtown Toccoa, all businesses will remain open, and will not be affected by street closures.
