February 2024 “Spirit of Stephens” Winners Announced

During the February 20 Stephens County Board of Education meeting, Kai Prather and Courtney Simmons were named the February “Spirit of Stephens” award winners.

Prather serves in the school system as a bookkeeper, and Simmons is a special education teacher at Liberty Elementary School.

Each month during the school year, the Stephens County School System honors employees with this award. Nominations are accepted from employees and to be eligible, employees must demonstrate a strong commitment to student success; encourage teamwork and assist other staff members; inspire others with a positive outlook and attitude; and perform job responsibilities consistently and professionally.

Superintendent Dr. Connie Franklin said, “We are pleased to honor Kai Prather and Courtney Simmons for their commitment to student success with the ‘Spirit of Stephens’ award for February. They represent the compassionate spirit of our schools and community.”
